I swung between coral, bright red and navy blue last year. Fancy something different- any ideas?

Rouge noir for me - always.

Though possibly silver in summer...

misshardbroom · 30/01/2010 09:28

Rouge noir or nothing. Since 1995. And it's not a rut, it's a trademark.

monkeysmama · 30/01/2010 09:32

I love orange in the summer even if it is a bit S/S08. Brown looks great with a tan but not very summery.

There is a beautiful dove grey Opi nail polish that looks fab with a tan too.

moocowme · 30/01/2010 20:44

probably another shade of purple, something in a mat colour would be good

HelloThisIsJoanie · 30/01/2010 20:51

all the stuff i have left form last year

the OPI brights range was good

dexter73 · 30/01/2010 20:56

This year my toenails have been purple as the bottle was free from Brandalley when you registered!

sweetheart · 30/01/2010 21:53

I was reading look magazine today and they say that aubergine is the new colour of the season

meaningofnight · 30/01/2010 23:29

Bright pink in the summer and either silver or rouge noir in winter.

SixtyFootDoll · 30/01/2010 23:47

am liking aubergine, where from?

gingertoo · 30/01/2010 23:56

I am currently sporting a nail polish colour called 'ruby slippers' on my toes and it is gorgeous in a wizard-of-oz-esque red with sparkly bits type way - I think it's the way to go...

SixtyFootDoll · 31/01/2010 00:03

I would love to buy Chanels ' griege' but there is a waiting llist and i am a mere mortal

misshardbroom · 31/01/2010 08:19

No, no, get on the waiting list for the greige polish! I went on the waiting list for rouge noir back in the day, when only Uma Thurman had it! Can still remember the huge excitement when the lady fom Fenwicks phoned to say it was in.

I like the idea of aubergine too - any recommendations in the magazine about which ones?

SixtyFootDoll, is it the Essie Ruby Slippers polish? It's lush (as my dd would say!)

echt · 31/01/2010 11:10

"Fever " by Rimmel. I always think the blue/grey/purple shades make you look as if you've dropped a hammer on your toes.

Chandon · 31/01/2010 11:15

rouge noir (or rip-off version)or French nails.

spugs · 31/01/2010 11:22

black

sweetheart · 31/01/2010 15:50

re- aubergine, in look magazine they tested 4 and they came out:-
1st Essie nail polish in "Catch me if you can"
2nd Pop nail glam in wine
joint 3rd & 4th Nubar nail lacquer in Dolcetto and Barielle nail shades in edgy.

Personally though I've never heard of any of those brands....?

the thames by nails inc looks really suprisingly flattering

Fleecy · 31/01/2010 17:26

I wore coral or fuschia last year but I'm not loving the fuschia one any more for some reason. So I'll be wearing coral again this year.

I second Opi Brights though - some fab colours.

Ambi · 31/01/2010 17:29

I've had red for so long, gone for a lilac at the mo.

MollyRoger · 31/01/2010 17:30

I have some v nice silver. Looks lovely with my toe rings.
Not sure how good they will look with a tan but I like it now.

AuntieMaggie · 31/01/2010 17:40

i love lime green, yellow or orange - really bright colours

alypaly · 31/01/2010 17:44

I have a very dark pink, which sometimes looks reddish, from Mac. It's fabulous

Otherwise, red, rouge noir (got a boujoir rip-off, and it's rubbish. No good at all) or nacy. Or clear.
