www.dorothyperkins.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?beginIndex=0&viewAllFlag=&catalogId= 20552&storeId=12552&productId=1587822&langId=-1&categoryId=&parentcategoryrn=

I have never really shopped at Dorothy Perkins, but after having put on shedloads of weight, I have decided not to spend a lot on new clothes until I get back down in size.

I was actually pleasantly surprised that they did have some quite on trend items.

I have huge boobies, so a double breasted military coat would look silly, but I thought this was quite nice and a bit different.

Have ordered it so not seen it in RL - may be awful, but pic looks ok?

funnel neck + big boobies = norks in waist band look

what size are you now and what is your price range?

TheChicOfIt · 29/01/2010 14:53

Well I was thinking I might not have it done up most of the time anyway so it may look ok, but I know what you mean.

Prefer not to say size as a bit , and price wise I would prefer it to be as cheap as possible without looking cheap if you know what I mean!

I'll see what it's like when I've tried it on.

No no no. Funnel necks only work if you are built like a pencil

dexter73 · 29/01/2010 14:59

I really like the coat. I think you will have to try it on tosee whether it suits you.

FimBOW · 29/01/2010 14:59

I think the buttons would gape on it if you have boobs.

RonaldMcDonald · 29/01/2010 15:09

if ytou give us an idea of size then we can see of there is anything else about

TheChicOfIt · 29/01/2010 15:38

Well waist/hips about 14-16.

Boobs of mammoth proportions so would probably need an 18 to fit over them.

I do want something quite trendy, so anywhere like Bravissimo is out I'm afraid.

Thank you Ronald McDonald!

Love the first two and the Urban Outfitters one.

Will have a proper look tomorrow - thanks for taking the time to look .

How about a belted MAC type coat, that way you can just tie it tighter as you get thinner. This is quite nice if you like a funnel neck and it would still look smart with the neck undone.

np good for tits

Clure · 29/01/2010 21:03

some fab coats here and reasonably priced

misshardbroom · 30/01/2010 12:21

I like the coat's design.

Can't comment about whether it will suit your figure because I've never been blessed with big norks.

But I do think that this type of military coat only looks any good when it's done up, so maybe not one to go for if you don't anticipate fastening it up that often.

And (while I'm prepared to be told I'm completely wrong), I'm always a bit sceptical about the quality from DP.

TheChicOfIt · 03/02/2010 12:31

OMG.

Coat has arrived and it is huge. Ordered an 18 to go over my mammoth boobies, and it is not only big over them, but I could actually wrap it round my waist twice! And I don't exactly have a waspish waist!

So it is being returned this afternoon. (Not as nice as the picture anyway, but surprisingly quite good quality).
