Oh I LOVE customising my clothes, influenced by my mum who is a genius with a sewing machine. Agree it's a lost art now, I live in Dublin and it's next to impossible to get decent fabric which severely limits one's sewing possibilies!

There is nothing more satisfying than wearing something that you have made yourself, exactly as you want it to be rather than buying an approximation of what you wanted because it was all that was available.
