love it.

tulpe · 28/01/2010 10:31

Obviously I don't have insider knowledge of your personal style but......tbh....it looks like peasant fancy dress to me. Sorry to be blunt. But you did ask for it to be served straight up

Lizzylou · 28/01/2010 10:33

It is very gothic/emo, floaty hair, something someone who participates in war re-enactments would wear.

Really not my style, sorry.

bunnymother · 28/01/2010 10:46

Hmm, its a "no" from me. Doesn't look at all flattering.

PoppityPing · 28/01/2010 10:47

Yay vesela!

Ah well, I knew it wouldn't be all that popular! Having said that, I do quite like the peasant/floaty hair/re-enactment look on days when I am feeling all ethereal-like, so I am turning your negatives into positives.

Aw, bunnymother, not even if I've escaped from my tapestry to run through a field of corn with flowers in my hair about to be swept up by a knight on a big white charger?

Poppity, believe me if you saw me, you'd know I could never carry that look off!
If you like it, wear it with pride and float around in an ethereal manner looking all feminine and lovely.

I will stick to my jeans and big boots

Well poppity it ain't my style either but I like it!

It's very Arwen isn't it?

misshardbroom · 28/01/2010 11:40

It appeals to me, and I bet it's lovely to wear. But with my height and colouring, I would look like an extra from Robin Hood, Prince of Thieves.

PoppityPing · 28/01/2010 14:19

I am tall and thinnish (10/12), pale, with red hair. I know the colour is a bit meh, thought if I wore some bright beads to cheer it up?

I plan to use it on the days I need to wax my legs but don't want to wear trousers mostly. There are a lot of them

I'm glad you thnk it's very Arwen Bunny

Well, we shall see when it arrives. I am concerned I may be trying to recapture my grungey free spirited youth

it's a bit scary. good for hallowe'en?
i can see Lily Cole wearing it. perhaps if you brightened it up with some cheerful accesories?

in that case, with your description, you'll look great.

I would prob look like dawn french with my boob and belly !!

piratecat · 28/01/2010 18:50

boob 's', i have 2.

upsydaisydo7 · 28/01/2010 18:58

Got the tunic one from the same company. Its very flattering , hides my mummy belly and make me look slimmer ...... Wear it with a nice scarf and big necklace and you will look great!

TrillianAstra · 28/01/2010 19:02

Oh my God, I so want one! I want to wear peasant fancy dress for no good reason!

mathanxiety · 28/01/2010 19:05

Poppity, when I saw the picture I thought immediately it would look good on oldest DD, then you described yourself, and you and DD may well be twins (especially with the free spirited youth part.) I love the colour actually and I think I'd wear it myself if DD would ever let me.

PoppityPing · 28/01/2010 22:19

Ladyintheradiator ooo, yes- and Tanita Tikaram. Tapes- they were so modern

I bought some things for DD and friends babies from there, they have lots of good offers. I saw this and have kept my beady eye on it in case it came into the sale.
I nearly hyperventilated when I had their email this morning.
They've dispatched it already.
