How to wear my fabby new red lipstick?

Just bought a surprisingly BRILLIANT red lipstick - Maybelline Fatal Red. Texture, colour and lasting power all excellent and cheap.

I don't normally wear lippie (more of an eyeliner girl) and am wondering can I wear it for daytime? It's a really classic bright, Monroe red.

I work in a casual office and dress in jeans tucked into boots + boyfriend blazer kinda way. Have short hair and pale skin.

Am I risking looking too made up with vampish lips?

ooh sounds good i will have a look for that tomorrow! go for it. red lips are always glam no matter what else you are wearing (or not!)

I frequently do this on the school run...it is my fail safe way to guarantee that when I look rough, haven't had a chance to shower etc etc that I look "polished" and always get people saying things like "You look well". dont overdo the eyes though, I would say no to eyeliner but yes to lashings of mascara!

No as long as you go for neutral eyes and haven't got your baps out Grazia has good make up tips this week and says a peach eyeshadow (pale wash all over) makes red lips much more wearable!

i work beside some uber trendy types so will be on the look out for peach eyeshadow to given em a run for their money!
