I usually wear contacts if I'm going out for the evening. Sorry, not much help

How about emphasising your lips and cheekbones instead of your eyes. Just use your normal day eye-make-up for night time as well and experiment with lisptick shades.

i sympathise. are contacts a complete non starter for you?
i am VERY short sighted, with astigmatism (my glasses prescription is about -10!) so my glasses do make my eyes look a lot smaller. in fact i'm too short sighted to apply eye make up without my lenses in - wouldn't be able to see what i was doing!

lipstick....not lisp-tick

MayorNaze · 27/01/2010 15:01

oh thanks chaps!

i am -9 so v v short sighted (and leave mascara on the mirror, i have to get so close to it ).
i have worn contacts in the past but don't have any at the moment. i think i may well go back to contacts for "best," just feel that somehow i should embrace my specs (not literally, that would hurt and prob break them)and make the best of myself with them on...

or perhaps not then

lips might be the way forward, esp as i think i actually look better with specs...any more ideas gratefully received though
