Advice needed please: semi permanent colour

I've always had a decent head of hair with a decent natural hair colour to match..anyway, whilst in Toni and Guy I was persuaded in having a semi-permanent colour put in my hair.
Today, I have decided I fucking hate the recommended colour and my question is, how long does it take for the colour to disappear for good?

Apologies for swearing, but I'm in a foul mood atm.

I think the answer is, it depends...(!) In theory it is 28 washes I think?

I had a semi-permanent last year (am perfectly happy with my natural colour but starting to get grey ribs which I wanted to hide for an event where there would be lots of photos taken for posterity sort of thing...)

The colour itself was fine but didn't cover all the grey (and I really don't have lots) so I was a bit considering the price.

I have lots of natural highlights and the semi-permanent colour had a bit of bleach in it (according to the stylist) so I got even more than usual in the sunshine over the summer - so end result is that I now have darker roots so it it looks like I had a permanent colour which is growing our .

I am really going to have to put a darker colour all over soon as it is starting to look a bit odd.

Try washing with Vosene or Head and Shoulders.
I have had a few colour catastrophes and these worked for me,

Hi there!
I'm really new to this but as a hairdresser I can tell you a semi-permanent colour will take about 28 washes to come out as someone said.
You could try to use Vosene shampoo as previously recommended and wash your hair using lemon or even fairy liquid with lemon.

Thank you for replies, I will try the Vosene shampoo.
