He's a big 4 year old so the 3-4 won't fit but he's not big enough for the 5-6 size. grr thought might look at Joules but other than that have no clue. Am sick of the shrinking/bobbling of Next

Zara

CremeDeMenthe · 25/01/2010 18:45

Are you sure? Boden did individual ages last time I looked (about 5 minutes ago!).

choosyfloosy · 25/01/2010 18:46

Leave Boden behind. Embrace Zara.

mazzystartled · 25/01/2010 18:47

H&M but be picky
I usually size up with boden and get 2 years wear....

CremeDeMenthe · 25/01/2010 18:48

Ah, not tops - but they can be worn baggy or tight.

milge · 25/01/2010 18:56

have just bought boden stuff for ds and it is individual sizes- lots of trousersetc have adjustable waitsso always go up and try to get 2 seasons out of them

otherwise H and M, and Sainsburys/Tesco and John Lewis

mazzystartled · 25/01/2010 19:03

john lewis quite nice actually

and lots of that danish stuff too - katvig etc though it is v distinctive and may not be your cuppa tea

nicolamumof3 · 25/01/2010 19:03

i always buy summer stuff big and get two years wear out of them

otherwise i like H&M, M&S, JL, JoJo Debenhams (Junior J, duffer etc but size up)

tulpe · 25/01/2010 19:15

John Lewis have some lovely things in for boys. Fat Face, H&M (but be prepared to sift through) even Tesco have some nice things in - again, you need to be prepared for a rummage But I think Tesco's cotton socks are lovely and bright for boys and last extremely well.

I think it is possible to get away with a larger size at Boden. Like Mazzystartled, I size up and get two years' wear for my boys.

orienteerer · 25/01/2010 20:11

Sorry to shout but you must look at ZARA

vesela · 25/01/2010 20:38

Definitely Zara. I don't have a boy, but their boys' stuff looks good.

Hogiabach · 25/01/2010 21:36

I love ikks and miniman for boys

deaconblue · 26/01/2010 08:16

thanks everyone, do Zara have online shopping? Boden trousers are individual sizes but hte 5-6 tops are for 116cm and ds is only 104 now so will be massive in the summer. Think Debenhams do online too (we have massive shopping centre with nowt but crap in it here)

Gap are quite good but do come up small - for a big 4 year old you'd need to check out age 5 or 6?

sainsburys are ok as well actually - although the range is a bit random but v good value - sizing is biggish for trousers (so age 4 might well be ok) but go up a size in tops
