I have a pair of emus which have got really mucky wearing them in the winter weather. If I put them on a wool wash in my washing machine will I ruin them?

I washed my Ugg boots last week and they came out fine!! DD has Celt boots which are machine washable, my Uggs were so trashed that I felt I couldn't really do them any damage. I washed them at 40 then stuffed them with newspaper to dry - they took about three days to dry properly but I had them in quite a cool place so it wasn't too quick.

Right - am going to try this tomorrow. Mine are only for indoor use and look dreadful at the moment.

I washed my UGGS recently on a delicate setting. I stuffed them with newspaper and let them dry next to radiator.
Ok, they look clean, but the dye has run a bit and there are darker patches at the back.
They lost a bit of their colour as well.

Don't do it! I washed my chestnut uggs on a wool cycle and it ruined them. The colour is really faded and they feel crispy! Good excuse to buy new ones though

I washed mine on a wool cycle with woollite. They are drying now, they look ok but i will let you know how they are when I've put them back on

They are fine. They have shrunk a little put I am quite ppleased about that becuase they were going all saggy and they seem warmer, maybe becuase the sheepskin has fluffed up
