Knitted mittens for older boys

Do such things exist? My 7 year old ds is mildly dyspraxic and finds it hard to put gloves on. The padded ski type mittens are too bulky so he's not keen on them. We used to find knitted mittens in the shops but nothing for older than 5 years old.

I can't knit (have tried learning and failed.....) so that's not an option.......

poor you i can understand what your going through i had it as i grew up so mum tried to make things easier for me. is there no little old ladies or grandma s who could knit you some. i can make fleece ones if needed.

tiggergirl you are so kind. Unfortunately there's no one nearby to knit. I used to get some from the local ladies' knitting circle when they had sale days, but there haven't been any recently.

Thanks for the offer to make fleece ones. You have just reminded me my 12 year old dd is doing sewing at school - she could make one if she had a pattern.
