Ooh I found a great use for a shrunken cashmere jumper

It was an old Jaeger one I'd bought in a charity shop, with a zip up the back. I've chopped the sleeves and put it on DD as a dress so she can be cosy as she runs about, and I've made wristwarmers out of the sleeves (cuffs hold it in place, loose bit got sewed.

Having also made a couple of draught excluders from tights and old pillow stuffing, I'm feeling quite thrifty and industrious on this dreich winter day

ha! Finally a use for mine! Thank you I always keep them as I can't bear to throw them away so now they can be put into action.

I made leg warmers out of the sleeves of mine, and a snood from the body...

My friend put it on her dog.

I was going to make a lovely pinafore and legwarmers for dd out of mine, but I'm too lazy. Glad to see others are on same wavelength and Mme, you must be from dh's country, haven't heard that word in a long time!

I'm sure you'll be no more lazy than me - I took the scissors and just cut the sleeves off with no finesse whatsoever!

donate it to a charity shop. their are lots of people like me who hunt for these (especially in my town!) to make lovely felt things out of.

my next project is a pure wool felted patchwork blanket but nerly everything in the charity chops these days is synthetic, which does not work for felting!

Hah! My DP managed to boil wash one of my wool dresses which turned it into some kind of felt so I have turned it into a cushion cover!
