Taking friend shopping for an outfit in London for her brother's wedding - style/shop ideas please!!

She is coming over to London for the day and (for some reason) is hoping that I will be able to help her find the perfect outfit for her brother's wedding.

She is 29 and has a good figure, about 5'3, size ten, small boobed, pear shaped. Quite conservative (don't think she would wear anything too short) but likes pretty dresses and skirts. Probably won't want to spend a fortune but would be prepared to pay for a nice outfit/dress.

Can anyone please help rec shops and/or outfits? We were thinking either Oxford Street or the Westfield but I haven't lived in London that long so any help or suggestions greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Oxford St:
Do the dept stores - Selfridges, House of Fraser, John Lewis, Debenhams
Also Coast, LKBennett, Laura Ashley
I'm guessing there is a Hobbs but can't recall where

www.shopstyle.co.uk is useful for browsing

Thanks Eldon. I was thinking department stores might be the place to start too.

get her booked in to a personal shopper- I have used this one before in Kingston www.bentalls.co.uk/kingston/services/services_personal_shopping.html
they are often free and usually fantastic

bentalls I should add is particularly good (there are two there and both are equally good)

You just need to go in with a budget (dosn't have to be big) and a rough idea of what you are looking for (dress / suit / very smart / whatever)
