Help! Itchy jeans and leggings

I bought a pair of maternity jeans andtwin-pack leggings from New Look in the sales and they are making my legs itch like crazy!! One pair of leggings is absolutely fine, but the others (grey) and the jeans (black) are a nightmare. I tried washing them but have put the grey leggings back on today and I'm still itching. They were such a bargain (less than 1/2 price) and as I only have 10 weeks to go til I'm due, I really don't want to return them and have to look for something else. Plus, like I said, I've taken the labels off and washed them. Anyone got any suggestions to take the itch out?

If you are pregnant, and itchy - I would call your MW

I'm not itchy all the time - only on my legs and only when I wear this particular pair of leggings and jeans. Fine the rest of the time, thanks.

How many weeks are you?

I'd still call the MW.

Try washing them without any detergent - or, accept that what ever they are made of, is an irritant to you.

What are they made of?

I'm seeing my MW tomorrow so will mention it then, though I really do think it's nothing more than New Look cheapness!!!

The thing about the detergent is that nothing else I've washed makes me itch. It is ONLY these jeans and leggings. But I'll try soaking them, maybe.

The jeans are cotton and the leggings are a viscose/polyester mix... but then, so are the other pair of leggings in the twin pack and they don't make me itch!

wonder if its related to the dye used in the clothes???

I'm pregnant and get very itchy too, best to check with your midwife....she asked if i had itchy palms, i don't just parts of my body that are covered by clothes. Putting a few drops of baby oil in my bath instead of bubble bath has helped loads, i found moisturising even made me itch.

Agree with OnlyWantsOne. Itching in pregnancy (for whatever reason) shouldn't be ignored. Ask the midwife the question - it might just be the material or dye in which case there's nothing you can do except write the garments off. But at least you'll have peace of mind that it's nothing else
