Anyone have these? Are they really that much better than other tights?
Any good for tall girls? I always have tights trouble (inside leg 34")

I toyed with the idea of those. However, went for the £8 cotton blend ones from M&S instead yesterday (in grey) and they are lovely.

They are, according to Jajas, Doré-Doré (DD) French tights - which are available in all department store tight departments or in good sock shops here in France. Doré-Doré is a fabulous brand - I always buy their tights for me and DD as they last longer than any others. And yes, they will be fine if you are tall - just get size 3 or 4 (depending on whether you are slim or rounder build).

Thanks, I might try the M&S, are they any good for tall do you think?

Bonsoir, I have just googled that name thanks, they only have a medium left at Toast, and although I am 10-12, I have an, ahem...generous rump. I haven't found any opaques in the UK yet, but will keep looking.

I did find these however. Off to start a thread....

Yes they are fine for tall. I am only 5' 6" but I cannot abide tights which are even remotely short in the leg.....I end up feeling like a toddler I always buy a medium but preferably a large even though I am only an 8-10.

PoppityPing · 19/01/2010 16:27

Yes, I often get the extra large- I need pants over the top to hold them up though

I have some too, and they are good. I have some cheaper ones from Tchibo which looked similar at first but have bobbled.

You can order them - Doré Doré Coton Cote - from www.socksfox.com - free delivery (throughout Europe!) on orders of more than 25 pounds. Size 4 = Toast's large.

The Toast opaque 50 deniers, which I don't have, are called Doré Doré Colore 50 and socksfox have them as well.

I'm 5' 8 with legs longer than the rest of me IYSWIM and the large/4 are a good fit. However, I also ordered the size 5 by mistake (XL - which Toast don't do) and they're good too.

Thanks vesela, that's really handy to know. I have checked that site now, but I can't seem to look at the pages, something to do with cookies. I'll get DH on it, I'd really like a pair.

That's interesting - I can't get into it either (or rather I get so far but then can't click on the actual product link). However, I assumed it was something to do with my computer because the same thing started happening with Boden (just as well, really) about a week ago.

The odd thing is that if I click on a link to something in e.g. the Boden review thread, I can see it fine, but if I go into the site by myself as it were, I get that error message.

Do you use Firefox? Maybe they did something recently that's causing it.

PoppityPing · 19/01/2010 23:00

Yes, I use firefox, haven't had any other problems yet though. Just checked Boden and it's alright for me. I was the same, just couldn't get as far as the product on the sockfox site.
