Rocket Dog boots

I was thinking of getting some Rocket Dog Slope boots, but can't find any for a good price in black. While googling though, I found these Rocket Dog Sonic boots which are similar but cheaper - do you think these are OK? Am I right to go for black? I like the tribal brown ones but think maybe black would be more versatile.

I never wear boots but wanted to update my wardrobe with some Martha jeans and maybe some leggings, and need something to wear with them. Haven't seen anything I like in the shops..... TIA!

Oh, it's not about dogs wearing rocket boots

everylittlebeat · 19/01/2010 10:08

You need the 'Pets' topic...

When you read the description of the sonic ones it keeps calling them "slope". I am on my second pair of slopes and I love them, I have them in the tribal brown.

glad you think they're good Inith. I hadn't noticed the description keeps saying 'Slop'. It looks as if they have 3 buttons rather than 2, but otherwise look pretty similar. £35 including postage is quite tempting.... How does the sizing come up - I'm usually a size 4.

Rocket dog tends to be quite short but wide, I think my boots are in my usual size though.

I bought some of the Sonic ones last season and love them Very comfy.

LowLevelWhingeing · 19/01/2010 12:04

I got my slopes in tk maxx and they are very very comfy indeed. They were about thirty quid IIRC.

LowLevelWhingeing · 19/01/2010 12:08

Oh, and I'm a 4 but bought a 5 as that was all they had and they feel fine. There is some space around my feet, but they hug my ankle and calf nicely so they don't move around like they're too big. Does that make any sense at all?!

oooo more replies - thanks!

It's coming down to a choice between the Sonics in black (£35) or the Slopes in Tribal Brown (£53)....

I love my slopes...the snow kinda killed them (they're the light ones)

but fab! so comfy

wifeofdoom · 20/01/2010 19:18

I have the sugar daddy ones and I love them! Wear them in all weathers and the mud and they still look pretty good - well comfy and so snuggly. I use them as an alternative to wellies for walking the dog AND an alternative to trainers for schlepping about town -can't complain at that! I've got the purple ones. Go for it!

My new brown RD Slope boots arrived today - very warm and snuggly, and fit really well. Still tempted by the black Sonic ones as well though - £35 just seems such a bargain..... thanks for advice and glad to hear they wear well too.
