Not sure if this is the right place to post this - I had a c section 13 weeks ago. My question is when is it ok to get waxed? .. Pre baby I got brazilians and would ideally like to start again - but dont want to do it before its ok - any advise? many thanks

i would have thought if your wound has healed, it's not sore or tender in any way and you've been signed off by your gp at the 6 week check then i would say you are probably fine.

not sure i'd be able to manage a brazilian that early on - although i'm not sure i'd manage one ever!

Think three months fine. I'm afraid I'm boring and get a 'neat triangle' (my one and only exercise being a weekly swim in term time) but principle same. You might find that the scar takes a bit of time to fade though (can't remember how long exactly) ie you might want to preserve a bit more foliage until it does - brazilian plus purplish horizontal stripe doesn't strike me as the most attractive combo! (There again 90% middle class Brazilians have sections so I don't know what they do!)

and at you being together enough to contemplate any kind of beauty regime 13 weeks in!

How is your scar? I've never had a CS, but have had some fairly interesting surgery, and I'm not sure I would have wanted to endure the pain tugging at new scar tissue (am assuming that scar runs on or near bikini line, so will get hit with the wax?) only 3 months down the line. It just still felt very tender and 'new' then. Doubt it would do any actual damage though.
