I'm pretty much always a 40, although occasionally a 41...

Cheers.

No, sizes are pretty true ime, have had boots and shoes from them. I am a 41.

AngelinaJolly · 19/01/2010 08:22

sizes are good IMO. which boots are you buying ? I have Spanish ankle boots and love them-.

Thank you. I've had my eye on the blue-grey suede knee boots for a while, but I now think they may be a bit too blue.

Fly have a couple in a darker blue-grey suede that might be a better match (for olive green moleskin coat).

Sizes are true, ime. Definitely no need to size up. I have the Cavalry boots. I think it was Tattcoram who recommended them saying that they made all her existing clothes look so much better. I can wholeheartedly agree

Those blue-grey suede boots look gorgeous

tulpe · 19/01/2010 10:11

I meant Tattycoram not Tatt

vesela · 19/01/2010 10:36

Thanks tulpe!

God those Cavalry boots are nice! I had been deliberately not going over to take a look at them but gave way today....
sadly (or perhaps fortuitously ) they are now out of stock in my size.
If anyone sees them come back into stock in a size 37 black let me know!!! (Has to be black as already have flat brown knee boots and am supposed to be on the "buying wisely, buying better" thread )

tulpe · 19/01/2010 13:16

eshermummy - they were out of stock last week too. I rang around the stores instead and managed to get the very last pair in the Islington store. P&P was £5.50 which I think is the same rate as on the website.

tattycoram · 19/01/2010 18:28

I'm glad you managed to get hold of them tulpe! I absolutely love mine.

schiaparellipink · 19/01/2010 20:40

he he, how i love a toast cavalry boots thread! i am never knowingly smart but they really do make me feel like i've made an effort. and they make my legs look better cos they are so nicely fitted. ahhhh. ok, carry on.

vesela · 19/01/2010 21:23

I love the way the Cavalry boots taper at the top.

I've decided against the blue-grey suede ones. though. I bought these Vagabond Twiggy boots today (in an actual shop) so I have A pair of non-winter boots. They're cute, but they're black.

With the exception of Fly, it's hard to find plain rubber-sole type boots that aren't black/brown - colour seems to equal heels, ruching, wellies or Uggs.

I could always buy a blue-grey bag...

if anyone is after the brown ones in a size 38 UK 5. I have some unworn ones in my wardrobe. They are too big- im gutted. Will sell on e-bay otherwise starting at £89.
