biglips · 18/01/2010 18:10

very grand

going anywhere nice?

pinktortoise · 18/01/2010 18:12

Love the colour. Not into maxi dresses myself ..think you have to be v.tall and I'm 5 6" so they swamp me. Is it for a special occasion?

SkivingViking · 18/01/2010 18:24

love it (and would love an occasion to wear something like that )

rimmer08 · 18/01/2010 18:29

i love it, am 5ft 1 so would never be able to wear something like that

sazzlelou · 18/01/2010 18:34

Well

i'm getting married this year and i've sort of already picked my bridesmaid dresses BUT then I saw this dress....

I love it!

But it'd mean a colour scheme overhaul

Stunning!

ColdBunny · 18/01/2010 18:44

love it, but it wouldn't suit everyone. I think you need to be rather tall and with medium-size breasts for it to look nice on you.

sazzlelou · 18/01/2010 18:52

I have 5 bridesmaids, 3 are tall so it would suit them.
The other two are my neices and are 15 and 16 so i'd go for something different for them
I quite like this for them but with purple ribbon

Love it.

Would the younger bridesmaids mind wearing something different? Just at that age they probably see themselves as adults, and might spit the dummy out if they are given "younger" dresses IYKWIM?

sazzlelou · 18/01/2010 19:31

I dont think they'd mind. They were going to have different style dresses originally.

I think they'd prefer knee lenth prom style to full length

Lovely. I would wear it to a summer ball....but I have far too many posh frocks already and DH would have a fit!

Anyway - good choice for bridesmaids and what a fab dress for them to keep afterwards!

Barbsieboo · 18/01/2010 21:30

Its gorgeous and the purple dairy milk colour is a universally flattering colour so will suit all hair colours and skin shades. The dress also has that ' be able to wear it again' appeal....
