H&M MATERNITY - Crap or what?!

How to crush the self-confidence of a pregnant woman in one easy step: get them to try on a load of H&M maternity trousers

When not pg, I am a size 10-12

Am 3m pg (look 5m) so picked up size 12. Couldn't get them above the knees

Size 14 no better, still couldn't get them up

How utterly depressing

I found the same.

I was a 10-12 before pregnancy. I needed a 16 in the trousers I liked!!!!

plus with sickness I had actually lost weight

imo most maternity ranges in normal high street shops are crappola

try asos, some nice maternity stuff on there, or just buy 2/3 pairs of maternity leggings and loads of jumper dresses/smock type tops

Glad I am not the only one

(Thought I was turning into a heifer)

Am living in leggings and dresses/smock tops

Wanted some jeans though and needed smart-ish pair of trousers for work

Got some from New Look in the end (was suprised - didn't realise they did maternity, and the trousers are a really good fit)

Try Next - they're too big! I'm normally a 14 or 16 in jeans, but my size 14 Next maternity ones kept falling down - so no in 12s.

H&M long tops and vests very good though.

Plus a lot of what I'm wearing isn't maternity - white stuff knitted tunic tops/jumper dresses and viscose jersey wrap dress all seem to stretch as big as I need them to (which is a lot!) and look good.

now in 12s

oh yes, me too, had to size up in h&m mat trousers

their non-maternity trousers don't fit me well at all, far too straight a cut so either hips too tight or waist too baggy

i only ever shop in h&m for the top half

I don't have an H&M near me but my Mum bought me two tops and a vest top for my birthday from their maternity range in November. I would agree the vest top is great - very stretchy and nice and long but the two tops are pretty crap quality. Lots of threads coming out of the black smock top thing and the patterned top has gone bobbly and faded really quickly and got 3 holes in the sleeve. I don't remember catching it on anything.
I won't be rushing to purchase from them even if I do find myself near a branch of H&M.
