Right ladies help me choose some new Boden gear!

I was given £70 (oooh) of Boden vouchers when I left my job in Nov - my sweet workmates! (I was made redundant so think they felt sorry for me!)

Anyway, I was hoping to get sthg in sale but there was almost literally nothing in my size or the DCs'.

So here we are in new offer and new catalogue land - what should I buy???

Hi clary

Don't go for the knitwear, there's alot of threads on here saying how they don't keep their shape/bobble. What do you need?

I still owe you a coffee I'm not fluffybunnygonebad any more.

Clary · 17/01/2010 22:59

Ah was toying with a tunic to wear with (ooh) leggings or even jeggings.

I see other people doing this so maybe it;s not toally mad!

Don't need a coat or a dress. Maybe a skirt for work (when I get a job ) or a couple of nice tops?

How are you anyway? Is DS still doing fine?

yes, agree with belle. i have a merino knitted tunic, but it's reeeeeeally bobbly already. am very disappointed

BelleDeChocolateFluffyBunny · 17/01/2010 23:07

They have some white stuff tunics in the blue water shop on saddle gate, it's cheaper then boden.

The boden skirts are lush though. I'm not into jeggings. I tend to buy things I can wear for years IYSWIM.

I'm not bad thanks. In Uni at the moment so not as knackered as normal I have an appointment for March so I can beg for something to keep me awake. Things are not bad here, ds is happy at school which is great. His mouth does get him in a few pickles though but he has friends.

How was your xmas?

BelleDeChocolateFluffyBunny · 17/01/2010 23:11

Can you send it back yesterday?

Clary · 18/01/2010 00:20

TiY that's a shame as I was looking at that merion tunic. Such nice colours...

Fluffy, yes Christmas was good, except I am out of a job so no money! But still, not had to go to work lately so that's always a bonus!

I'm so sorry to hear about your job Could you go freelance?

Clary · 18/01/2010 00:27

well not much freelance out there, sadly. Papers all cutting back and that's the first thing to go.

Am looking for something else, so far I have had three interviews (and one has gone on to a second) and another one next week so maybe one will be The One!

That sounds good, I shall keep my fingers crossed for you.

There's a thread on here about there being no reasonably priced childrens magazines

I think the knitwear is fine. TBH any thing made of wool bobbles in time. I have had M&S, Jigsaw, Kew and Boden stuff which bobbles.

I have a slouchy Boden cashmere jumper from last year ( sale) and it does not bobble at all.

Cabatach · 18/01/2010 20:35

The Boden summer cardis are much better than the winter ones. Less bobbling as more of a cotton mix. I have just got the favourite v neck cardigan in purple and it is lovely.

Clary · 20/01/2010 23:56

Thanks ladies for thoughts.

I may take a punt on merino tunic then. Not sure about fave cardi - I have 2 already (in brown and pink) but the new style is rather longer. Is it not a bit boyfriendy??
