Help! Don't know how to wear rolldown yoga pants

Just received an order from Sweaty Betty. I bought these rolldown yoga pants. There seems to be a huge amount of fabric in the roll down waistband. What am I supposed to do with it all? Roll it down presumably. However there seems to be too much to work with to end up with a sleek line.

I am coming to the conclusion that they are too big and will have to be sent back

Are there any yoga types out there who can point me in the right direction?

Thanks!

I wear something similar from Hush. I fold them over and kind of "ruch" (sp??) the waistband so it doesn't sit smooth anyway. You can fold the waistband over to get a sleek line though - but perhaps you feel the fabric comes down to far then? The section that is folded over is certainly quite deep compared to regular waistbands, iyswim

I like mine to be up round my bra

TurnYourFrown . I tried the up round the bra look but there was lots of spare fabric and it was wrinkly. Worn like this, they might be useful if I ever have another baby, but seeing as I am not even pg, it is probably wiser just to return them.

Tulpe I have tried a smoothed down look, but the bottom of the waistband is v low IMO. Sounds like this is how they are designed.

erm I have lots of um tummy so no spare fabric

alarkaspree · 15/01/2010 15:24

I think the bottom of the waistband is supposed to be low. If you don't like that look, send them back.

I have some similar yoga pants and some running trousers with the same design. I like them because I can wear the waistband up round my bra when it's cold to stop draughts on my tummy, and roll it down when warmer.

TurnYourFrown you aren't alone, I am feeling all fat and lumpy having tried on all my new yoga clothes that were meant to make me feel fabulous . The only thing I am really comfortable in is the very roomy hoody that I also ordered.

Alarkaspree thanks also. I think I am beginning to understand [dense] how rolldown pants work. I will try them on again later on and decide whether to keep them or not. I went for the XL, and I am more of an L, but assumed that Sweaty Betty stuff would be on the small side.

i have some similar from the white company, i just fold them down, and now i'm pregnant i wear them high extra warmth for my bump.

Yangymac the title was written with a touch of irony intended. Happy to make someone though.

Pistachio this is why I rarely internet shop. Back to the high street for me I think. Interestingly two of the SB tops in the same order seem to be a bit on the small side.

Miche sounds cosy. Good luck with the pregnancy.
