Operation Wardrobe Upgrade: cotton tops

So one of my New Year's resolutions was to buy less, but buy better. I've already started with vowing not to buy acrylic knitwear any more (it always looks so bright and promising in the shop, then turns bobbly and horrible after one wash) and have been scoping out better trousers and skirts, but what about basic cotton tops? I wear either vest tops or long-sleeved scoop-necks mostly, and my Primark/New Look buys are always a disappointment, what with being all misshapen and the seams coming undone quickly. I'd rather pay more and have two or three really nice ones - but where do you get them? Don't mind paying more than usual but I'd hate to do that and get nothing better than usual.

More tops! Brora has some nice ones and they may get cheaper when they do further reductions.

What's the fit like on the Brora ones? I'm an 8 and that looks a big baggy on the model - I want close-fitting arms so I can wear them under things.

I don't know about the fit as I haven't tried them on. I am waiting for further reductions before I buy one.
