Where would you shop for an evening dress?

I have a ball to go to and I just can't find anything I like. I love this and www.theoutnet.com/product/71703?cm_sp=recentlyviewed--recentlyviewed--recentlyviewed but sadly my arse is too big and I need a size 14. (Am blaming baby number 3 but it is more likely cake!!)

Where would you shop for an evening dress? I keep looking on sites like net-a-porter but keep falling in love with things for £2000+. I would like to spend no more than £300 and would really like some kind of sleeve.

So ladies, can anyone help?

first link is a dress for me.

Like the style, not too keen on the coffee colour but it's the sort of thing that might really suit some people

pointydig · 14/01/2010 19:13

oh, that's a different dress now!

Love the style. I like the sleeves. Black is a little dull but, again, depends whaT IT looks like on

I would usually look on shopstyle.co.uk
then house of fraser
debenhams
john lewis
lk bennett
coast
monsoon
but not seen anything in a similar style to the others you like

here is a non maternity IO dress

littledawley · 14/01/2010 20:37

I haven't ever tries shopstyle - will have a look. I LOVE that IO dress but they don't have it in a large enough size

Have emailed Isabella Oliver. I am struggling now although I don't need it until March and the diet and exercise are well underway...

Have you thought of going vintage?

littledawley · 16/01/2010 07:09

I might have a browse tethersend - haven't bought vintage in years, I think I'd like to try it on so probably wouldn't use ebay but I think I like the dress you linked to...
