What knickers do you wear?

No, I am not a perve!

I about to order some underwear and the knickers I was about to buy have 4 reviews - all by grannies and women who are a lot bigger than me describing them as "perfect for the mature lady". I am 33.

I used to wear thongs but have no idea how now as they're so uncomfortable. I was a 8-10 pre dd but am now a 12 so perhaps that's why. I have lots of underwear sets but need some black, cotton knickers for every day wear with plain black bras. I quite like shorts but they seem to be giving me VPL. I may try the M&S no VPL ones.

Anyone?

brazilians or shorts

Great big cotton M&S black pants that cover my bum and keep my tummy in. I hate wearing tiny, scratchy pants.

frou frou primark knickersv with the ruffles all over them sooooo comfy and fairly sexy imo

monkeysmama · 14/01/2010 16:23

How do you wear clothes over frou frou knickers?

Big ones that you can pull up to your arm pits! Don't want to get a chill in my kidneys!

No really I usually buy M&S cotton high legs with a bit of lace detail.Big enough to cover up lumps and bumps but not so big they can be seen above the waist band of your trousers or double as a body stocking.

Since ds, it's been 'full briefs' all the way. This used to be the exclusive preserve of my mum - how times change

I wear these - they were my christmas present from my husband

M&S boy shorts for me

bellissima · 14/01/2010 19:22

Thongs I'm afraid - but always a size larger than my normal size. Just can't stand anything else under jeans or tights now. Sometimes wear lacy nicks under skirts/dresses in summer ie without tights. Hate fact that M&S no longer do bras with matching thongs and you have to go for expensive brands (there again M&S bra sizing a law unto itself, but at least you can chuck in the washing machine).

The issue I find with pants is if they have a centre seam (like the ones linked to at the beginning of thread by traceybath) they are really uncomfortable and dig in. Lots of boy shorts have the centre seam too (rather than being sewn up the sides and across the gusset), very icky.

I wear either normal shaped pants with a high leg and hipster waist or hipster french knicker/boy shorts with the side seams not centre seams

SofaKingFedUpOfSnow · 14/01/2010 19:34

I wear thongs in the day time. I always wear 2 sizes too big to avoid them digging in. I wear quite lacy (lepel, intimas) ones as I get them V V cheap from a factory shop.

I wear great big M&S full briefs at night though.

Lacy shorts in the summer under skirts so I don't flash my pant tash.

I don't have matching bras though. My norks are too big.

Mostly black sloggi. So comfy.

MillyR · 14/01/2010 20:14
