i dont want to pay loads of money but doing the school run is a bit of a mare, pre school on a hill...un gritted, carrying ds2 carrying ds1 stuff, dragging ds1...blah blah..

I have a lovely pair of rocket dogs but they are not water proof!! So anyone nice ones out there that have good grip, waterproof and wont make me look like an eskimo?

I think you'll be lucky to find any snow boots now, I've been looking over the past week and there's nothing about. You may be able to find wellies though!

decathlon?

GettinTrimmer · 13/01/2010 10:41

My walking boots are serving me well, Brashers, I've them over 10 years, but they cost about £90 then. I managed to walk about three miles in them the other day.

I use my walking boots too. Mine are £19 cheap regatta ones and have been warm and waterproof with a good grip too. They are not pretty however.

Sorry - i went to post you a link to the wonderful Olang ones I bought last week, only to find that they have completely sold out.

If you can get some - I bought Olang boots for me and dd and they are brilliant.

Some here but hit and miss avaiability size wise.

Snow's gone here, but I got on best in wellies with sheepskin insoles and opaque tights with cashmere socks! Warm and non slippy.

I bought some snowjoggers last year in the sale, because I liked the retro trainer look of them. Didn't realise they were such warm snow boots. been wearing them for weeks, they are brilliant. But seem quite expensive, amazon a good place to look...also not so much selection as last year.

I bought these a couple of months ago for walking the dog in as they are waterproof and I go in lots of mud (mine are womens ones but look exactly the same. Can't find them on the website though!) They are fab, cheap, much warmer than my expensive walking boots and really comfy. Also I can stride across ice in them and have not fallen over once!

I have very nice purple ones, like the red ones shown here ...snowjoggers

only paid about £30 for mine on amazon last year, but can't find any bargains this year as would buy more. They are seriously cosy and comfortable. I am a 5.5 and bought 6, the 5's were too small, slightly narrow at the toes for me.
