Boden Dresses..any good?

Anyone see anything that is remotely wearable?
I quite like the "Pretty cotton dress" in the green colour but my worry is this;
prints etc and ditsy prints look good on young people- ie under 35, but when you a re older like me- 50+ ut looking 45 ( so people say) and a size 10 still, I do think that prints can look aging, mumsy and old. Itend to stick to plain colours or more ethnic/bohemiam print stuff from Jigsaw.
Anyone agree?

I completely agree. Am similar vintage (and size) and I just find the Boden prints a bit, well, hideous. Also, don't the ditsy ones (eg the blue and brown 'school run dress) just look really boring and frumpy? But I am willing to be told otherwise as I realise that my school run 'look" (jeans, jeans and more jeans albeit decent ones) is also derided for the 'forever 40s'. Those of you with more discerning eyes - are there any 'just pull on' ie not glam dresses in there that are not frumpsy.

bell- agree 100%!

Oh for a pull on dress that makes us look sexy and glam and not mutton as lamb or 70+!!

Not overly impressed with Boden's spring range.
No dresses I would buy,am considering the navy merino tunic though.

I went into the Boden shop near me yesterday and was really disappointed; the fabrics all looked thin, the prints I felt I'd seen before and the clothes looked skimpy. This is not the first time seeing the whole collection in a shop has made it seem less than the sum of its parts. However, I then walked into Kew and was even more disappointed so maybe just not in the mood. I need to join the not buy anything, use it all up thread, fast.

I've got pretty cotton dress in pink, and I'm 41. When I opened the box I thought yuck, that's going back, but it's lovely on - great fit and material - which I think is more important than pattern or not (and I like the effect of the pattern actually on). However, might check on next trying on to see if I'm mumsy!!

Oh and the shift dress is good too!

Thanks- will keep thinking.

Agree with Amaris on the pretty cotton dress. It's really well made, good quality cotton. Very flattering but probably more of an occasion dress than everyday.

My two very critical DDs loved the Amalfi dress on me.

Jersey crinkle dress is lovely.

In spite of the other thread on here, I think summer dresses are what Boden do best. I only buy with 20% off but get so much wear out of them I can justify the cost.
