I need to get some new hair care products.

My hair is long (half way down my back), not coloured (brown) and cut every 2.5 months. In good condition according to hairdresser. It's naturally poker straight and there is lots of it but it lacks body and volume. I blow dry it once every week or two but normally let it dry naturally. I have to wash it daily-2 days or it goes greasy at the roots.

Dd is obsessed with it. "Mama hair" were her first clear words. She wraps it around her hands and pulls it, drags it, strokes it, puts her feet it it, rips it from my scalp etc.

Can anyone suggest some nice things I can use on it (& my scalp) to make it feel good again and look a bit fuller.

Thanks in advance.

I can't believe you'd be so insensitive as to talk about your hair when I'm around

keep an eye on QVC for today's special values oh hair products - usually very good value ans you get to try things out that you may nt usually buy. I use ojon oil(from qvc) makes it really shiny, also Philip Kingsley stuff from QVC and he does scalp stuff as well. I also have some kerastase but I prefer the Philip Kingsley at the moment. Montagne jeunesse (the face mask people) do hair masks for about £1 each and they are fab. You can get them from asda I thin - in sachets by the till usually. You can also order online.

seriously though

I use a product from Laughing Bird - Honey & Shea Butter hair food - contains Kuikui nut, avocado and olive. Your hair sounds much the same as mine except mine has a bit of a kink, not poker straight (I wish). I use this stuff about every 2 weeks. Get it from a health food shop in Camberwell but the site is here

Thanks for the suggestions.

I haven't joined the no more shopping thread but am trying to keep my obsession with buying new cosmetics and beauty products under check. I don't want to buy more stuff that doesn't really work. I've been using the Aussie range as I had one in the cupboard but doesn't seem to be doing much.
