It's my birthday next week & DH has said he'll buy me a new watch.

I have been looking around for one for ages but haven't seen one I want yet.

I have it in my head.... I'll describe what I want & perhaps someone who knows anything about watches or fashion can help me out??

I want it to have a velcro strap, be brightly coloured, and have a timer on it so I can time my runs.

I have a fleeting feeling that I have seen them in some shop windows but then I can't find any online...

Even if it's not brightly coloured, I would settle for black or white, as long as it's nice & not tacky looking.

I think he would possible spend as much as £100 although cheaper would obviously be better...then I can get some trainers too

Does it have to be a velcro strap. DH has just been looking for a new watch, similar requirements to you and found:
1 - Alarms, timers etc only on digital watches.
2 - Velcro straps only on analogue watches.
3 - Couldn't find anything with timer and velcro strap!

Otherwise, the Casio Baby-G range is up your street.

Is this one any good?

Tha Baby G ones are lovely!!

I like that last one which has some fabric in the strap!!

Yeah, I'm not fussy... I almost shit myself when dh looked at this thing like a bracelet with shoes hanging off it... together for 15 years & he still doesn't know my taste!!

Thanks a lot!!! Now I can show him what to get

and there is those other ones that are similar - colourful, always in Grazia, bit more expensive - can't remember the name ...

ConnieComplaint · 11/01/2010 20:47

I have been thinking & I think I may have saw the one I liked in a celeb mag or something, so most likely costs zillions.

I am happy with the Baby G one I think I am hardly ever in shops, but DH will be able to order it online - he's as antisocial as me

Think maybe you mean Toy Watches Fabhead though my link isn't to one of the more common ones. If you're not going for one for fashion reasons I'd get a Baby G. I had one a decade ago and it lasted years.
