Shoe Boots

I am looking for some fairly funky shoe boots either grey black, blue or purple. I am tall so dont want 6 inch heels that make me look like a transvestite... 3 inch maybe.

Want to be able to wear them to work, but also out with dresses/ jeans in the evening.

Over to you, the fashion experts!

Garrylous · 10/01/2010 22:53

imo/e if you ave slim legs shoe boots can look odd

noddyholder · 10/01/2010 23:03

Yes proper ankle boots better for skinnies

Garrylous · 10/01/2010 23:07

Garrylous · 10/01/2010 23:08

noddyholder · 10/01/2010 23:14

noddyholder · 10/01/2010 23:15

Garrylous · 11/01/2010 03:01

yy

Cyb · 11/01/2010 07:22

I ahve skinny legs and prefer a sort of scoop cut a bit lower. I still ahve twiglet effect in anyhting ankly

noddyholder · 11/01/2010 07:26

I usually wear coloured tights and ankle socks in a subtle colour then ankle boots otherwise can look a bit twiggy too

aquavit · 11/01/2010 09:55

Cyb I love you, I have just ordered a purple pair of those frilly ones - I have been looking for exactly them for ages (sorry they didn't fit you though...).

the Clarks ones are odd when you try them on imo - lots of bulk at the back, they made me look like I had fat heels

tethersend · 11/01/2010 12:41

@ 'fat heels'

Cyb · 11/01/2010 16:27

aquavit I'm so pleased for you

notyummy · 11/01/2010 18:09

Wow thanks all! I still think I like Cybs first effort (the ruffle ones) the best - although I quite like those Clarks one (£69 ones) as well - but those would more be for work than going out.

Will def order a pair (or two!) of the ruffle ones and maybe the Clarks as well. Having just spent a load on Top Shop Unique/Boutique and a coatigan from Monsoon, I probably shouldn't be buying the Clarks ones as well though.

I had to do SOMETHING at St Pancreas after my meeting finished though! The train wasn't for an hour....

Update!

Bought the ruffled grey AND purple ones.

Plus some black ones I found. Link above. Slightly boring but OK for work I think.

Muchos gracias!
