Boden knitted winter wrap

Dp bought me this at Christmas. He thought he was a super sleuth as he'd seen me looking at it and assumed I really wanted it so bought it as a surprise. I do quite like it and have worn it four times since I've had it - it is very useful.

However, it started to bobble after the first wear and has got progressively worse. I haven't washed it yet (the 4 wears have not been all day!) It now looks like a cheap cardi and not something he paid almost £100 for.

Has anyone else found this? Do I just need to get it dry cleaned?

What a coincidence. I don't have the wrap but have found a Boden henley sweater has begun bobbling awfully after about 4 wears! I was just looking at it today and feeling disgusted. I don't have one of those de-bobbler combs but am going to need one.

I got a long wool cardi from Boden recently too - wore it for the first time yesterday and it is bobbling already. It is lovely and warm though!

Do you think I should contact Boden and complain? I can just tell it is going to irritate me and eventually stop me wearing it all together. I've never owned anything from Boden before.

I think it would be worth contacting them MM. Customer Services are usually very helpful.

Boden's customer services are lovely. Definatly call and say.

That's very poor, I would ring and complain. It will become something that you'll only wear in the house, like a knitty dressing gown. And it's a lot of money for that.

monkeysmama · 10/01/2010 16:51

I'll give them a call tomorrow. Thanks.

Definitely speak with CS. They have a "no quibble returns policy". Friend of mine returned several items of knitwear after 6 months because they had bobbled and become misshapen. Got a full refund

Glad I read this as was going to swap my returns for this.
I have a debobler razor thing from john Lewis,it is battery powered and does the job but tedious.
Cost £10 .

monkeysmama · 10/01/2010 21:03

I actually quite like the idea of the cardigan now. Should I ask to swap it for something (if so what?) or for dp's money back and get something else?

I like it too Monkey.Boden does have a problem with bobbling knitwear though.
Perhaps try a de bobbling gadget and see?
I fancy the cardigan for now,but am undecided
a) due to bobbling
b) should I forget the temperatures at the moment and go for something more springlike with my returns, given that I am on the use it up thread

monkeysmama · 10/01/2010 21:14

Ah GW - I recognised the danger of joining that thread .

I do like it quite a lot. It comes up a bit big though. I have the 12. I usually wear a 12 or even 14 up top but it is a bit bigger than fitted.

I'll give them a call tomorrow and see what they say.

I have the same cardigan and it's done the same. I sent it back for a replacement and it was the same.
It's lovely though.

monkeysmama · 10/01/2010 23:29

Cheers JJ. would you get money back or keep it?
