Anyone own the Phoenix Oushka bag?

Just wondered how roomy it was and if you can carry it over your shoulder ok as straps look quite short. Eyeing up the one in ash in sale - looks fab.

Think LTEC has it. Bumping for you.

Yep mine arrived yesterday. Will reply later this evening

Mimi1977 · 10/01/2010 19:16

Thanks - will look forward to hearing about it!

Back again. Yes, it's a lovely bag but I'm pretty sure that I'm sending mine back. Quite roomy, lots of pockets etc but the strap is just a tad too short, esp when worn over winter layers. Most annoyingly, it looks as though you can adjust the strap as it features a buckle and holes - but is fixed by 2 studs at the other end.

Having said that, AngelinaJolly got one the other day and loves it.

Mmm, thanks - maybe will give it a miss.

(((will fb you in a bit))))

Hi Mimi, I love mine.
The leather is soft, there are lots of pockets and I like the size. The colour is better than on the website too ( I have plum). The style is chunky/ slouchy but the leather is soft enough to erm, soften it . Agree that it does look as if it should be adjustable, and there are more studs than expected, but I find that it fits over the shoulder fine.

All in all it's a keeper- I have a Phoenix-sized gap in my bag wardrobe and it's filling it just right. Plus looks excellent with other recent purchases.

Thanks Angelina. Oh decisions. May just have to order and see for myself then. Just look fab. Really could do with a nice spring/summer bag as just got a choc brown bayswater which is lovely but looks wrong with summer light outfits and need lots of room for DC stuff!

had a play around with mine this morning and have decided to keep. Like AJ, I have the plum. Worth you ordering to have a look I think.

Funny you mention the choc brown bayswater ... am just about to start a thread about one ...

Mimi1977 · 11/01/2010 15:06

May well order then - kind of blown my clothes budget lately but haven't bought any new bags for ages and my other bag I use a lot is the choc brown Mulberry Antony Message bag which is another winter bag but great for hands free when pushing the buggy. May have to get and try out.....

used it today. Liked it a lot

Mimi1977 · 11/01/2010 22:41

Thanks LTEC. Still deliberating! Do love the look of it....

LTEC - just wondering, how does the strap compare with the bayswater as I carry that over my arm but it goes very easily over my shoulder - is it the same or harder than bayswater to get on shoulder??

OP posts:
LetThemEatCake · 12/01/2010 00:21

oh, you're unkind.

You know I'm thinking of offing it, yet you send me upstairs to look at it??

Strap lengths are comparable .. the Phoenix is slightly easier to wear over shoulder since the strap is a bit longer, thicker and there's only one, not two! HTH

Mimi1977 · 12/01/2010 07:58

Sorry! Ah that's great thanks as if it was shorter than the bayswater it would have been a no but now I'm really caving!!

I've done it - I've been looking for something like this for so long and know i'd regret it if it sold out and I hadn't. The way I see it, I've saved money not only on the sale (£50!) but about £350 on a bayswater in Oak which I have been lusting after for the last year.

Right - just going to join that other thread now about not buying anything more this year!!

Thanks for your help girls

let us know how you like it!!

SimpleAsABC · 14/01/2010 14:51

I ordered a wigmore plum last friday and i'm really excited about it getting here - but still no sign!

Mimi1977 · 14/01/2010 19:24

Mine came today - last friday simpleas? - chase them as I ordered mine on Tuesday and it took two days.

Just to let you know I ADORE IT!!! It's quite heavier than expected but probably on a par with the bayswater so I'm used to heavier bags and it's so roomy and rather stylish! Love the colour too.

Can't wait to fill it and use it - how sad?!

Right - that really is it for spending now.

I am sooooooo pleased with mine. It came this morning and as I hadn't opened the living room door when I got up this morning (or been out AT ALL) I didn't see the "we missed you slip"!

Thankfully they left it with my neighbour and I've just collected it..

My name is Simpleasabc, I got the wigmore in plum and I love it!
