Agree tis very Orla Kiely. How did they get away with that?

tulpe · 09/01/2010 20:04

Unless she is surreptitiously letting them use her designs.....like Cath Kidston did with Ikea immediately following their "Chuck Out Your Chintz" campaign. So in people were still going to Cath Kidston for £30 cushions when Ikea were flogging designs by the woman herself for a tenner or less.

I see what you mean! I'm also shocked at the price, Boden clothes are now same price as Jigsaw/Whistles! But the quality just isn't there. Especially those thin tunic dresses/tops` - dreadful.

tattycoram · 09/01/2010 20:51

this is faintly OK too isn't it

selby · 09/01/2010 21:43

I've bought the OK mini stem sling bag in the sale recently. It'll just be too OTT to wear it with either the Boden dress or shirt wouldn't it? That would definitely go over the boundary to no taste!

MaggieMnaSneachta · 09/01/2010 22:06

Yeah, i think they must have her permission.

that bag is lovely tatty. unlike this one which looks like it came from peacocks

hmmm selby, i didn't realise that they'd have a sale (ok I mean). I am very tempted by the blue tea cup maxi sling bag? 96 reduced from 140.

there are some nice tops in the OK website (dresses hideous though) but orla kiely tops seem to be cheaper than boden tops! at the moment anyway!

selby, that's reeedickyyooooolusss... i just tried to buy the ink teacup wallet at 48 and it was going to charge me 25 pounds P&P.

I'm in ireland, but that's robbery. it'd cost about 2.50 to post that from uk to ireland.

hrrmmmmpf.

The other bags are just awful aren't they. Maggie, according to the website there is a sample sale on at the moment, so I bet lots of OK will turn up on ebay - might be worth looking for that wallet there

Sazisi · 09/01/2010 22:41

I was looking at the 'essential shirt' yesterday and thought the same. I quite like it though..especially in the greeny pattern.

MaggieMna Kilkenny Shop stock OK and it's always cheaper than the OK site, you should check there..

kittya · 10/01/2010 09:10

I dont know about the dress being Orla Keily, I just know its boring and Im sick of seeing the same one season after season.

MaggieMnaSneachta · 10/01/2010 13:58

Thanks Sazisi, i think I will take the children in to dublin on the dart tomorrow! even though their schools are both shut because of the snow, I will have no trouble getting to the dart and the trains are still running..... stupid dept of ed. (what a tangent!!)

Maggie, I nearly bought a bought a beautiful diary with my name on the front, was so lovely, but like OK, they wanted 25 pounds to post it to Dublin Drives me crazy when they do that.

How ironic that we now have another 3 days off and the snow is all melting. we haven't been back to school since Christmas. Dh brought dss' to cinema today and drove down O'Connell St, which he wouldn't dream of doing normally, no-one else around. Forecasting more snow for tonight but it's not nearly as cold as last night.

MaggieMnaSneachta · 11/01/2010 14:34

i got a text message to say one of my children is back tomorrow! phew, one down one to go.... not as good as NO kids obviously but at least no fighting!!!

You can actually see through the dress in the second link, if you lood at the hem.

Flimsy or what!

MaggieMnaSneachta · 11/01/2010 20:40

yes. you're right LS< on the purple one you can see how thin the material must be. yikes. Actually, i did like that dress, but now all that 'twisting' going on in the boob area is a bit too 'look at my boobs' or something. i realise i said boobs not norks. hummm.
