Where to buy jeans for tall, very skinny 8 year old boy?

Gap Kids are pretty good but I can't get there at the moment and he has the knees through two pairs of jeans. Need something with adjustable waist ... he's above average height but oh so skinny! Would like to be able to order on-line. Any suggestions please.

Verbaudet do a slim fitting in lots of their boys trousers

here

pumpkin patch slim line i think they are called. i have an incredibly skinny 12 year old. and for the last year have found them to be a godsend. the adjustable waists are never any good to me, but these are fab.

ASOS have Gap kids online. Have you tried there?

paulaplumpbottom · 08/01/2010 13:03

Gap is perfect. My dd is tall and skinny and they are perfect every time. Do gap have an online shop?

SofaQueen · 08/01/2010 13:06

Polern O Pyret is made for tall thin children (it's a Swedish company).

Another vote for GAP, the only brand I've found that are long and slim enough. Next do an adjustable waist, but even then they tend to slip down.

next super skinny jeans do what is says on the tin

accessorizequeen · 08/01/2010 14:30

next r v long I find and lots of styles have adjustable waist.

Thanks for the suggestions everyone. I'm a big fan of Pumpkin Patch but unfortunately their jeans just don't fit him ... he finds them really uncomfortable on the waist. ASOS don't have much selection in Gap online. Shall have a look at Next and if I've no joy there, I think I might ring our closest Gap and ask them to post me out a couple of pairs in his size.

snake belts are your answer

I always have to put HUGE turn ups on Zara boys trousers, they also have adjustable waists and trendy styles, usually cheaper than Gap.

I find H&M boys jeans great on my skinny dtbs

Lilyloo · 08/01/2010 21:29

ooh was going to say Gap

Millie1 · 08/01/2010 21:45

Wonder whether Zara or H&M sell on-line ... am off to look - thanks!

Gap are the only trousers I've found to fit my stick insect ds2 - even then I have to go up a size for length and the adjustable waist is at its tightest

next/m&s/boden etc just have far too much fabric flapping around which looks ridiculous on him

as far as I'm aware H&M don't sell online - I've never got any boys' jeans from there, but the ones dd has are too short in the leg and too big round the waist and although she's tall and slim is not as 'extreme' as ds so I'm not sure how good they'd be for your ds

Zara are a lovely fit on my extremely skinny 5yr old. It's better to go into a shop if you can though as their sizing is a bit weird.
