fatzak · 07/01/2010 20:59

I've got this and love it!

I am also that I can finally post on a style and beauty thread. My clothes may be dire but I have a couple of decent bags. Oh and some Duo boots. And that's where it ends

I am quite liking the stand up tote in the red flowers on the Cath Kidston website - and it's in the sale!

Fatzak - how big is your bag - don't need too big as don't have to carry around baby paraphernelia anymore

I prefer these and cheaper too!
But if you are going for Cath Kidston or Orla Kiely I think the Orla Kiely ones are much nicer

fatzak · 07/01/2010 21:50

It is quite big - probably would fit, say, 3 A4 ring binders in it (I carry a lot of crap in mine but not folders by the way!!!) It would actually have made a very good changing bag!! I like the stand up tote ones in red flowers too

fatzak · 07/01/2010 21:52

Like the stuff on that website too Cherrytom by the way. Must not let myself look again though as have no money at the moment!!

Orla Kiely for me - I own 2 maxi sling bags from the last 2 seasons. I'm a total convert having ruined some classic leather Coach & Osprey handbags prior to owning these (due to doing the school run in all weathers). Mywardrobe currently has this in the sale. You missed out on the midi sling version that was 50% off and in stock last week - I got one of those!

Ospreylondon has a new weatherproof leather on their website & there's a bag that's big enough to hold files/changing stuff too - great if you're not a pattern kinda gal.

you need to try them out. the cath kidston ones can be quite heavy ime.

orla keili bags are over priced and a bit over

EleanoraBuntingCupcake · 20/01/2010 16:41

this is utterly vile

MaggieNilAonSneachta · 20/01/2010 17:05

i like OK better because the straps are blended in with the design more nicely imo. i was looking at ck wallets the other day and they had some very ugly 'rims'. Like a cute wallet with a bit of fabric masking tape to finish it off. Not nicely finished at all. Shame.

MissWooWoo · 20/01/2010 19:43

always always Orla

newbaglady · 20/01/2010 21:06

problem with Orla - and Cath K - is that they are so identifiable. It's all a bit shorthand like The Edwardian Diary of an English Country Lady was in the 80s - you're feminine, a bit retro, hankering back to a simpler life. Depends if you want to be that 'readable'...

MaggieNilAonSneachta · 20/01/2010 22:16

i just like the patterns!! i think the good ol' days weren't all they were 'craked' up to be..
