Canvas summer shoes for 18mo girl? (Plain-ish - red maybe?)

Had an awful time yesterday trying to find canvas summer shoes for DD (size 5 - 5.5). Just about everything's out of stock - found a lovely pair of plain red Start Rite ones but none in our local shops or John Lewis. Apparently they're not getting any more in because they're on to autumn styles now - huh? How was I supposed to know back in the spring what size DD's feet would be by now??? Anyway where else should I look? Plainish styles preferred. Will I be OK ordering online? I do feel more confident going somewhere where her feet can be measured and the sized judged by someone other than me - this will be just her 2nd pair and I don't want to get the fit wrong ...

jojomamanbebe sell red canvas shoes with a little anchor on the strap. We had some in navy for ds though the velcro on his did keep coming undone (they only cost 6.99 maybe thats why!)
