If you had lost all your clothes in a flood/fire but miraculously all your shoes, bags, coats and underwear had survived and you were given £500 to kit yourself out what would you buy?

Jeans that fit perfectly.
Black knee high but completely flat boots.
A really nice handbag.
White shirts.
Navy, black and chocolate brown jumpers.

LTEC

On that budget, I'd pick a colour scheme, say navy, charcoal grey and cream.

Navy dress/tunic
Cream long sleeve t stirt
Grey long sleeve t shirt
Dark denim jeans
Grey cashmere cardigan
Navy skirt
Fab scarf in colours that suit me

I reckon I'd be able to make enough outfits from that until the insurance company repaid me the thousands for my lost wardrobe.

I'm with LTEC.....

I would have to pay for therapy with my £500 because my wardrobe is like a diary to me and my clothes are a form of self expression.....

In fact I think I might have to pay for therapy just for having had to think about it.

I think I would come up with a good well fitting capsule wardrobe with a good colour co ordination of clothes.

Cream, navy and grey sounds good to me.

Smart navy trousers
Smart grey trousers
Long denim skirt
Cream, grey, navy long sleeved tops and t shirts
Navy shoes
Cream shoes
Great jeans
Scarves and jewellry.

As my sister pointed out to me today, I would buy yet another beautiful party dress (and spend the rest on gin).

LTEC - I have just spat wine milk over my laptop at your post. Love it.

MissWooWoo · 08/01/2010 09:46

I think that I'll have to go back to being plain old Florence today. I've quite enjoyed being a Media Hunk.
