Does anyone have have good recommendations for gloves that are waterproof yet warm - and have the ability to stay on??? DS2 has the fleecey kind which get wet with the snow and DS1 has the waterproof mitten kind but says he can't pick the snow up in them! Where do you buy yours from? (happy to pay a bit if they work and I never have to deal with an hysterical 2 year old crying cos his hands are cold!)

I can't get gloves to stay on my 2.5yo, however I found this:

gloves built into the sleeves

It is fleece, and they do get a little damp yes, but he hasn't complained about cold hands, and he can't get them off! You may be able to find them over there if you google.

i just bought some ski mittens from millets for my 3 and 6yr old they have velcro so easy to get on and off, fleece lined and they seem waterproof so far.....both of them moan they can't make snow balls in them though, and the eldest says they are baby gloves even though they say age 6, he can't put finger gloves on himself though gets his fingers all muddled. Personally i think these are much better than the gloves they've had in the past. Also bought some glove glue which is just elastic with hooks on that thread through the coat, you do need to buy gloves/mitten with little hooks though.

Just seen the replies - that fleece is fab! Went and got some waterproof mittens with a fleecey inside - like these:here

Will put them to the test tomorrow as snowing heavily now!
