What sort of placement do you have?, last year I was in the voluntary sector and wore jeans.
This year I am on a statutory team so will be wearing smartish clothes. Trousers and nice top, leggings and tunic type of stuff.

My own social worker however, wears jeans and she works in a statutory team. Can you ring your supervisor and ask what they want you to wear?

I could if I knew where I was going!

Only 3 weeks til I start and still have no idea...

Ahh your uni sounds about as organised as ours!

Black trousers as a staple and you won't go wrong really, you can dress those up or down?

Yeah, sounds like an idea!

Black trousers and smart tops that give good coverage.

Asda / Tesco quite good for cheap work stuff.

I was placed in a children's unit (for children aged 12-17) and wore casual clothes, as did all the other staff including the two managers. Only thing we couldn't wear was low-cut tops or short skirts.

Hope your placement goes well
