Okay we may be a few months off but spring wardrobes....??

I know there is still snow on the ground but I'm loving thinking about what I want to buy this season for the warmer weather. Have a few things on my list including:

Red Patent Birkenstocks - live in Birkenstocks in summer

More ballet pumps - like navy patent ones in Boden preview

Maxi dress

Anyone else?

Just read post below about not buying anything this year....Mmmm, not sure I'll manage that and may not be many on here judging by popularity of that thread!

I pretty much need complete summer wardrobe as have been pregnant or bf for the last few summers.

So I am going to plan what I need and buy really carefully - no impulse purchases for me.

So am thinking at the moment a couple of dresses, some sandals and skinny/slim fit white jeans. Couple of tops and a light weight jacket.

I love planning my purchases

tracey I have been pg or bf for last 5 years, except for 6 months in 2005 - am exhausted, are you?? no wonder we obsess about clothes - escapism!!

I have everything for this s/s already except for new jeans, Phew! but will enjoy shopping vicariously through you

I want really nice sandals that aren't Birkenstocks but are just as comfortable!

And white jeans (love white jeans).

I need to think about tops too. I like nice structured summer tops - am far, far too old for anything thin and/or droopy and/or skin tight...

I think I will get a tuxedo jacket, and work from that. Sounds odd, but I think it will work (on some level) and I'm also not overly optimistic about the potential temperatures for this summer. Otherwise, I plan on dressing more like a grown up. My great aunt said I looked like a teenager the other day. Not too pleased about that (I'm nearly, gasp, 30 for goodness' sakes).

I need shoes absolutely, nice ones. I have no jeans, but not sure if I need any really.

Have a hefty credit note to use, so no new spending... really.

oh i'd love some skinny white jeans, to wear with this top, which I already own. I fear my arse shape would not permit it though ....

Bonsoir - did you buy any of the marni dresses/tops you linked to ages ago? I too need/want structure in tops.

LTEC - thats such a pretty top.

I'm also contemplating a serious hair cut. Hair is mid-blonde long with swept across fringe and I just think it drags me down so thinking of going quite a lot shorter and more styled if that makes sense.

So all new me for the spring - and of course I will lose those final 6 pounds.

Sunglasses and handbags are my weakness. Currently sporting Tom Ford Jennifers but will buy a new pair for spring.

But I wear sunglasses a lot and do look after them so worth the money.

traceybath - yes, I've got quite a lot of Marni in my wardrobe . I love it. Some of the summer tops are really great, as they are structured and manage to be simultaneously very cool and not too revealing!

Lola - normally are white slim fit maternity jeans in topshop/mamas & papas or the more expensive makes.

I actually wore a pair of next non-maternity ones as they were so stretchy last summer.

I had white slim fit jeans the first summer after DD was born! I was so slim from breastfeeding that I just wanted to enjoy the look . They do wash, you know!

I would love some white straight leg jeans, but still too porky from DD born 6 months' ago so may have to wait till next year. Although am hitting the cross trainer like a loon most mornings... Maybe I get some anyway.

I would also love some gold strappy heels. Nice, pale gold, not nasty coloured gold.

Sounds like TopShop Baxters are good (from prev thread). Should I check them out? Although are they straight or skinny. Think I best stick to straight until less portly. Which means TopShop Marthas?

I love white jeans. I had an Isabella Oliver pair when pregnant. They slipped down and drove me mad though.

I would like a couple of summer dresses and a few nice tops.
