I am the original bag lady,I am 5 1,9st and 54.I make an effort for work and try and look smart.I absolutely HATE dressing up though unless I am going out for the evening or going to work and when I get in from work I put my jams on.I am ashamed to say that I have worn the same pairs of really baggy tracky bottoms and top for years.I have about 3 pairs and they are so loose,I instantly feel relaxed when I am in them.I resent taking them off and putting on my jeans and a NEXT jumper to dash round the supermarket at the weekend.Recently Ive thought blow it,and dashed round in the self same top and traky bottoms.Colleagues and acquaintances have looked quite when they have seen me and I have come out with an excuse like oh Im doing a bit of gardening.Has anyone else got a comfort outfit they love to get into?Is there anything out there that you could recommend to replace.I have bought smart designer tracky tops and bottoms and they always feel uncomfortable, too tight, and stylish.I put my old stuff on like putting on a pair of old slippers. Can anyone relate to this?Thank you.

My fave outfit is tracksuit bottoms, at least 3 years old with ripped gusset, old T shirt, and husbands 10 year old fleece. And crocs with thick socks. And underwear? The sports bra which is so old its baggy.

Never got the allure of tracksuits unless an athlete but completely understand your desire to be comfortable. Dh bought me a pair of lounging trousers (will try and find a link) from Debenhams which are super-soft and comfy. Now want some soft jersey wrap cardis and vests to wear too but haven't managed to track any down yet.

Check out Hush, Jardy. Tis full of slovenly but stylish wear Absolutely love it. I am, at heart, a total slattern but do love to look stylish with it .

I think your tracksuit addiction is to do with having to dress up for work - a reaction to it. i have nothing like that to react to! At the moment I am living in next denim leggings - so much more comfortable than jeans - and a tshirt from Asos (I have about six of them) - and a massive jumper from Brora. I have two of them from last winter when I was richer and bigger. All finished off with a pair of uggs. It's been so cold, I think it's all I've worn for about a month. If I go out I wear a slightly nicer pair of boots. Maybe when it gets less cold I will change! I don't get the old underwear thing though - always proper and well fitting - would feel horrible otherwise
