Where can I get a warm gillet or similar item for my mum? She really feels the cold. She has a dog so is out in all weathers. She is keen on layers - lots of them. She is very slim so not much natural padding! Her fingers often lose feeling so I would love to get her some super warm gloves as well. Any ideas gratefully received

my mum swears by hte microfleece gloves you can buy in millets. really warm but not too thick

also, layers are all well and good, but to keep really warm she'd be best having a thermal vest or something first, then a thicker item, and then a nice warm coat!

or wool, wool is fab for keeping warm in. a nice knitted jumper under her coat

Land's End sale atm - lots of good fleece things and excellent stuff for layering

I like very thin micorfleece or silk gloves under ski gloves

Thank you. Was going to look in Millets. I'll go look at Land's end now. She does wear thermals. Her house is so cold and she's worried about bills. Where can you find silk gloves?
