school uniform - where to get trendy stuff?

Blouses or white tops in particular. Where do you get them from?

M&S is out. They are too stuffy and dreary for a teen. Next is borderline out.

Can I look anywhere online to buy them?

I've just ordered masses from George online, but 'trendy' wasn't my watchword...teflon coated was what I was looking for

I have been scouting ever so quickly and noticed new look have blouses in teh sale for £2. Bargainous. Will alert dd1 tomorrow and get overly self-conscious opinion.

oo. 100% cotton black jumpers for £3! Will run past HighPriestessofFashionSensitivity in the morn.

My dd has decided that because Alexa Chung wears them, sensible flat black lace up brogues are fashion forward for her for school.

never mind the fact I've been trying to get her to wear exactly that since she started secondary.

ooooh no gg. There are bog standard square cut geek blouses or fitted to the bazoom, scalloped collar blouses. it's all in the detail (well when you are 14 it is)

utterly wrong, lynette. The w hole point of uniform in high school is to introduce subtle and not-so-subtle fashion statements while working loosely within the stated regulations.

George jumpers sold out in the bigger sizes so relented and bought her one new look drape cardi. She had better deodorise well so she can wear it all week
