I have the Decagon jacket from North Face. Can vouch for its waterproof and windproof qualities as it was torrential horizontal rain at 1600m in the French Alps today!! And I remained bone dry within

North face arctic parka gets my vote. The ultimate winter coat without doubt.

I agree-The North Face Arctic Parka is a beauty and so warm. Have been trying to find a medium one in black but all sold out in my area-they are selling really well despite the hefty pricetag.

If you can, get the ladies' coats in the girls' equivalent - save some £££. My North Face coat was virtually identical in girls' size XL as it was in ladies' XS or S (can't remember) except for the cost.
