Comptoir des Cotonniers sale - v good

Just popped into town and bought a lovely mac I'd been coveting since the autumn - £68 from £150.

And then persuaded into buying a long pink animal print silk scarf (v louis vuitton) which was £20 reduced from over £50.

Would have bought more but baby was bored which is probably a good thing.

So anyone who lives near one - well worth a look.

Staff also incredibly helpful and clothes very lovely.

I'll second that....loads of lovely stuff and as you say the staff are really nice. And it's not crazy busy like some of the other sales.

I ended up only getting a tee shirt (v. nice down to 25 from 50) but only because I had massively overspent elsewhere!

beyondfurious · 29/12/2009 13:10

wish they had a shop online as I really fancy that scarf talked about

traceybath · 29/12/2009 15:11

Its the only reason I ventured out - the rest I do online. I wonder if they'll ever do an online shop . . .

My DD has the most adorable little grey/pink flowered bubble skirt from Comptoir des Cotonniers - get it for your DDs if you see it in the sale, it has been one of this winter's big hits (with ribbed grey tights, a thick grey cable roll neck sweater and purple suede boots).

Cybilshoeboots · 29/12/2009 15:45

ooh thanks tracey I may pop into mine tomorrow

Bonsoir · 29/12/2009 15:45

Comptoir des Cotonniers sells on line in France, btw. But the sales don't start for another week here.

MABS · 29/12/2009 16:06

just love this shop too

MarshaBrady · 29/12/2009 16:24

Oh crap this was the only sale I wanted to go to besides Liberty (which I did yesterday). Damn, totally forgot and will have to go back in to town.

My midwife had the most beautiful coat from there, bet it's all sold out.

hellsbelles · 29/12/2009 17:35

Marsha - the one I went to yesterday (south molten st) had lots of lovely stock - so don't panic.

Bonsoir · 29/12/2009 17:36

What did you get in the Liberty sale, MarshaBrady ?

MarshaBrady · 29/12/2009 18:59

It was quite good. 50% off quite a lot. Worth a trip to London for the weekend perhaps

So I bought:

A Vanessa Bruno wool dress in navy, half price (I love this and have one in mustard but did think silly to have bought this full price in September, Liberty do such good sales!)

A.P.C coat, tweedish looking, half price (unfortunately not my size 10, only a 12 and too big. Might have to go back ) fourth one in on left in AW, girl with hat - linking flash sites doesn't go to right page unfortunately

A cheapish Twenty 8 twelve tshirt

An Eley Kishimoto colourful cardigan, half price.

Best of all new season Sonia Rykiel wool pencil skirt and a navy and white striped jumper with bees on it. Most sizes already sold out!

trying to find links on internet but seems impossible..

MarshaBrady · 29/12/2009 19:00

Nearly all French brands I think!

Bonsoir · 29/12/2009 21:27

Well done!

Sales don't start here until next Wednesday but the private sales all start this Saturday and I shall be away!!!!!! And there won't be anything nice left by the time the sales proper start on Wednesday.

I bought (full price) Notify jeans and a really lovely three-quarter length navy wool thick cable coat-cum-cardigan with horn toggles today, in readiness for ski holiday, so don't really deserve anything else anyway!
