How many items of each piece of clothing do you think is really needed?

I went out today and brought DS1 some new clothes as his ankles and belly were getting cold in his current items

I brought him 3 pairs of trousers, four long sleeved tops and three jumpers (I've got four tee-shirts that were given to him in the summer that were too big for him then too)

Anyway I'm wondering how many items of each piece of clothing is needed?

It's a how long is a piece of string question, really - the main thing to consider is how often you put a wash on, how quickly you can turn a load of washing around, whether one pair of trousers = one day's wear or will they last over a longer period.

With my washing turnaround rate, 3 pairs of trousers per DC would be pushing it.

True enough!!

It looks like I'll be at home full time soon (job'll be most likely going - hence the question above in relation to budgeting!!)
