I think they are quite frumpy tbh, but I do spend my life in ridiculous shoes.

TrinityReindeer · 25/12/2009 13:41

I think they are quite cool
wiould definitely depend what you wear them with

GossipMonger · 25/12/2009 13:45

Twinkle - do you think they are both frumpy because they are from Clarks?

If they had been from somewhere cooler do you think you might have liked them?

Thanks Trinity.

Am a TA at school, have 2 young boys, dont dress up a lot and wanted to have something to wear with trousers/jeans.....

i like the boots but not the shoes

agree it would depend what you wear them with

i am older than you but do try not to be frumpy

GossipMonger · 25/12/2009 15:52

Have ordered the boots now along with a pair of white trainery things!

DH said the grey shoes were frumpy!

Tis an odd age to be late thirties/early forties methinks!!

Thanks

I am 46 and like the boots but not the shoes

lisad123wantsherquoteinDM · 25/12/2009 16:07

I like the shoes but not the boots! LOL

mafi · 25/12/2009 16:09

i am 39. Like the boots, but not the shoes. They look like the kind of shoes that will make your feet look like the leave of a ficus tree.

upafrozenhill · 25/12/2009 16:11

I'm sorry but seeing you asked - I thing they are awful and frumy and would even make old people look older.

You are not yet 40 never mind 70. leave them alone!

GossipMonger · 25/12/2009 18:17

Oh no! Too many opinions now and I have ordered the boots!

Will get them and see what they are like in RL.

Wonder if I dare post the dress that i want to order

Oh Gossip...I do hope you get free returns with Clarkes!

NiceShoes · 25/12/2009 20:58

yes,they are granny shoes

MerlinsBeard · 25/12/2009 21:02

i don't like either.

tispity · 25/12/2009 21:13

like the shoes not the boots (too punky art student-y)

Squishabelle · 25/12/2009 21:26

Sorry dont like either. Im 'old' and wouldnt wear either of these!

LynetteScavo · 25/12/2009 21:37

They're not Granny shoes unless you wear them with a long (Boden) skirt.

Skinny jeans and cropped hair and dangly earings should do it.. (Although you may end up looking like a social worker)

BarbieLovesKen · 25/12/2009 21:42

Oh dear. Sorry both are really awful.

Really terrible.

Age immaterial imo. My mother is 55 and wouldnt be caught dead in either.

ineedalifelaundry · 25/12/2009 21:50

Quite like the boots. I would wear them. Shoes are frumpy.

I decided that before I saw you'd ordered the boots. I'm 35.

CarmenTinselPalmTreesSanDiego · 25/12/2009 21:50

I'm 31 and think they're ok. The boots could work with a funky skirt. But don't wear them with a long, mum-style skirt. The shoes are fine.

not mad on either here either im afraid!

MaggieAnFiaRua · 26/12/2009 18:13

they're not as old as a bolden tunic imo. if you are just schlepping around in jeans and those boots, i don't think it is making any massive statement. i think the boots i have on are from clarks!

cornysxmasmuffmusic · 26/12/2009 18:15

I'm not keen on either

upafrozenhill · 26/12/2009 22:30
