Teeth whitening

you might remember that a while back I asked for input on this. Well, I went ahead. I had it done at the dentist and it cost £400 for made to measure trays and bleach. I am pleased.
My teeth will never be white-white- but on the scale she showed me, my teeth have gone from almost the darkest shade to mid-way light. I am still toppping up and using the bleach once a week or so until I get them as light as they can go.

so, if you are thinking of it, I'd say go for it! My teeth are not perfect and I am still toying with having a brace, but having a whiter smile helps me. I have also started noticing how ageing it is on older people- 45+ - to have stained teeth.

Might be worth trying the crest strips too?

Interesting thing a dentist told me.. make sure the shade of white of your teeth matches the colour of the white of your eyes.. it is easy to have an unfortunate mismatch between the two..

Which Crest Whitening Strips are the best ? And where can you buy them from ?

geordieminx · 23/12/2009 15:19

You can buy them on ebay or amazon - think the premium ones are the best?

Dont over do it. Brilliant white teeth look abnormal. You don't want your teeth to be the main feature of your face.

I noticed there is a uk based website..Crestwhitestrips.co.uk (sorry haven't yet mastered links) haven't used it but planning to order in the new year..have used whitestrips...are brill, but make teeth v sensitive.

I really don't fancy the Crest strips- the best thing with the bleach and trays is that no bleach goes on your gums or in your mouth- not sure how you control that with strips.

Interesting about your eye whites and teeth- must dash off and look!
