I had a black & white party but I rocked up in a scarlet dress (still got pic on profile I think) It was one way of making sure that no one else wore the same dress as me

Dress was found for me on MN of course, so am sure someone will come along with foxy maternity idea.

Not sure of your budget, but this dress is gorgeous or this

Isabella Oliver always have beautiful dresses, if you wait until after christmas to order they may be reduced.

Clure · 23/12/2009 09:13

some nice dresses bit cheaper here

FolornHope · 23/12/2009 09:13

i dont like the party gal in another colour dress idea - although you look v nice.
its a bit vain

AngryPixie · 23/12/2009 11:43

I agree forlornHope it is vain, but whatever gets you through the big 4 0 is OK with me.

i thought you looked Amazing AP and actually a nice idea to feel like the special birthday girl...i wont be wearing red as i will just look like a balloon in my condition but i once went to a wedding where a guest, who also happened to be a supermodel so didnt really need any extra eyes on her ,wore a showstopping red Dior dress..hows that for stealing the bride's thunder so sometimes it's no bad idea to fix the dresscode when you feel like it's your big day.VB...i lurve the chiffony? maxi dress..i realized i have a vintage frock in a charity shop i picked up for a steal a while back which i never got around to adjusting(as couple of sizes too big)which is a similar cut so i think i will go for that(and with such a long frock no one will notice if i wear slippersunder it!)
