I think it might depend on how far down your body it finished.

Kristingle · 20/12/2009 23:30

it depends

are you very tall and slim with no norks?

AvadventCalendar · 20/12/2009 23:31

tall, fat with ample norks

Kristingle · 20/12/2009 23:37

neckline and double breasted TOTALLY unsuitable for the large of nork. sorry

and its not fat, its curvy. get with the programme

MollieO · 20/12/2009 23:42

Looks like a very sensible coat for dark winter evenings!

Tortington · 21/12/2009 01:02

bethjeff · 21/12/2009 02:39

I've never seen an uglier coat in my life

What, of all the coats in the world, would possess you to buy that one?

CybilinExcelsisDaewoo · 21/12/2009 07:46

IME any coat that only costs £30 will look like it only cost £30

GhoulsAreLoud · 21/12/2009 07:46

Mollie, dark being the operative word

Longtinsellyjosie · 21/12/2009 08:07

I quite like it but agree with Cybil about price/ quality

CybilinExcelsisDaewoo · 21/12/2009 08:10

If it was £130 on Johnny Bodens site LOADS of people would be very excited about it

AvadventCalendar · 21/12/2009 08:11

There's a purple version too that I saw in store but it was the pink one that I automatically thought of Mr Blobby, funnily enough there were racks full of them, obviously not sold many

Cybilin.
the fact that there are people with money but no taste as well as people with no money and no taste is not shocking is it.
Have you seen Paris Hilton? Princess Beatrice? Most of the people in the Harrods Food Hall.....?

Rich people also buy shit is not a strong arguement for that hideous snazy coat

fishie · 21/12/2009 08:36

are those teats down the front?

teafortwo · 21/12/2009 09:08

I think the pattern is fun if you are into that kind of thing but the shape couldn't even flatter Kate Moss!

I am a big fan of fitted knee length coats. They make one look taller, slimmer and even the brightly coloured 'fun ones' can have a bit of a luxurious and sophisticated feel about them.

OP - Shall we find something REALLY lovely for you?

What size are you....? What is your budget?

My first thought is this (- I think it is a fun colour but a bit sexier! I am nervous about the ruff though - Style and beauty addicts please explain - would it work visually with norks or no?):

teafortwo · 21/12/2009 09:10

Ooooh - now I look at it a second time I wonder if the coat I linked to is a bit Grannyish...

AvadventCalendar · 21/12/2009 09:12

oh goodness I wasn't going to actually buy it, I just saw it in the store yesterday and thought "Eeeek!"
I have my lovely charcoal grey military style winter coat already

Even Kate Moss would look like a barrel in that coat. Tis grim.
