Isabella Oliver 365-lovely cape coat cashmere/wool-two questions?

Do Isabella Oliver have sales?
Has anyone got thiscape
or this shirt coat ?
They are both from the non-maternity site, but look swing enough to fit a bump in so would work for now and post-pregnancy as would be too pricy for just a maternity coat
I am short , 5,4 and size 8, am I going to be swamped by a cape?
Are they irritating to wear ??
Am very cold presently

AFAIK, they have sales, but don't knock much off things you want...

Aesthetically, I prefer the cape, but they are very fussy to wear; forget shoulder bags! May also be difficult to use with a sling (have a cape, not a sling, so not sure on that one).

How about this maternity coat? If you get one which is belted, it will be fine post pregnancy. This is also lovely; I think I prefer it to the others. TBH, they look like a better and longer lasting investment to me.

I bought a cape last year, it looked great on the hanger, but I never wear it because I freeze in it, my arms are always cold and it's very awkward to wear.

I'm 5'3" and find voluminous shapes very hard to wear, I need something shaped or with a belt.

Would you go fro a regular wrap coat? I linked to some nice ones from M&S recently, I'll have a look

Classic camel wrap coat

Shorter black

They may not be the most exciting styles, but they are pretty classic and you would get lots of use from either one pre and post baby.

lol at cape!

DarrellRivers · 20/12/2009 12:58

Many thanks and yes I suspected as much re the cape and bags etc.
Probably will fit sling under the coat
I like the cape still the best but am prepared to be swamped in it so I think I will buy, try it on and be prepared to send it back.
All the other coats are lovely and may well end up being bought

I.O. do sales- it's starting Dec26th (phoned recently and holding out for a top from last summer's collection). The older stuff/ least popular gets most reduced. The clothes are generally cut for long ladies IMO but length is good for a bump, and depends on the garment.

Marvelous free delivery
Arrived today
Unfortunately as foretold by other wise mumsnetters said cape was just too voluminous
It looked great from the front but from the back it looked like I was going to the opera or was an eccentric old lady
Oh well, will refund and think about the shirt coat, but most probab;ly hold onto the cash and spend that when am back to normal size
